A life of digital abstinence is largely impossible today. How does this affect society and people?
For centuries, ideas were only documented by hand. Global digitization ushered in the paper-free age. With rapid global data transmission, it changes the way we communicate and lets us express our creativity differently. Many people already use the possibilities of digital technology as a matter of course.
NThese "digital natives" are faced with other people who cannot keep up with the pace of technical development. One reason for this is the demographic change in industrialized countries. According to the Federal Institute for Population Research, one in three people in Germany will be older than 65 by the middle of this century. This harbors the danger of a growing population group being decoupled from social life. So how can it be possible to bring technology freaks and technology "illiterate" together so that they support each other and enrich each other with their respective talents? The art project PENvolution by the artist Kerstin Schulz would like to give new food for thought.
euhe communication takes place all over the world, but is strongly influenced by mentalities and traditional behavior. How do people from different cultures react to encountering a swarming art installation and a range of works that exceed everyday expectations?
TeIn the late summer of 2014, the swarm art installation PencilMobileRoom, a writing room made of millions of pencils, began its journey.
The atelier triangle organizes socio-cultural workshops under the title "PENvolution" in Poznań and in Bristol.
